Saguaro National Park

If there’s any one icon that feels synonymous with Arizona, it may be the cactus. The saguaro is a large cactus which is indigenous to the Sonoran desert, and is especially prevalent in the Tucson area, home to Saguaro National Park.

The park covers 92,000 acres around the Tucson area off Interstate 10, which passes through the park. The park was officially established in 1994, and hosts about 1 million visitors each year.
