Silver Lake

The next time you find yourself in Park City, Utah, after you’ve toured the art galleries, hit the slopes and tastes the whiskey, spend an afternoon with a leisurely stroll around the perimeter of Silver Lake.

The Loop Trail at Silver Lake is just a shade under a mile, with little to no incline. It’s a peaceful walk in the springier fall, and in the winter, it’s closed to foot traffic in favor of cross-country skiers.

It’s a popular trail with plenty of fishing piers along the way, so don’t expect to have the place to yourself. If you’re lucky, you’ll share the trail with one of the many moose who inhabit the area.
