St. Anthony Sand Dunes

The St. Anthony Sand Dunes are a 10,000+ acre sand dune area of white quartz sand, reaching as high as 400 feet. The dunes are closed during the winter for wildlife migration, as they play host to a large herd of over 2,500 wintering elk, as well as mule deer and moose.

The area is also used for recreation with off-road vehicles.
