Officials from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park announced that missing hiker Fred Braden Jr. of Powell, Tennessee was found un-injured aside from scrapes to his legs.

Via social media, Braden shared details of his experience. “I am truly thankful to be alive today. Not certain I would have made it through another night in the woods,” said Braden. Reported missing on October 27, Braden was located on October 28 by a search team comprised of over 30 people.
